January 29, 2014 I brought home my first aussie, DaisyMae. She was a blessing that I never knew how much that pink nose, blue eyed fluff ball would mean. It was an instant love upon meeting, she jumped out of the precious owners arms and climbed up in the truck with me. NO hesitation! Her previous owner(s) were getting rid of her becuase DaisyMae was to much to handle. So she was a rescue in a sense. When I bought her I knew the dangers in owning a double merle... but the precious owner(s) made no mention of this fact. But I had done my research since I was a young child. At three months old I had her fixed due to her genetics and I didn't plan on breeding her anyway. We ran into a huge scare with her because she became infected months after the fact. DaisyMae was sensitive to the stitches that were meant to go away on their own, but they didnt. The vet said surgery was the next step and they would put staples in her...which of course I paniced....but I prayed and prayed about it, cleaned the area, and placed medicine on it. In the next month she went to the clinic again and she was fine. This is not the only miracle I would see with DaisyMae. But her owners had told me she was up to date until she he was six months old unless I fixed her, DaisyMae was three months when she came home, but this was not the case because took her back to the vet they had her at. The clinic had NO record of her. This was a scary and rude awakening. DaisyMae was now in her FUREVER home. But of course the questions and examinations came about and of her eyes and ears. I was scared to finally see if there were any weaknesses but the vet came back and she was healthy. NO BLINDNESS NO DEAFNESS...she was my miracle. She has been my miracle and true happiness every since then. DaisyMae is my world, my heart and soul, my best friend, my furbaby and my child. She goes everywhere with me
..when you see me you see her. If you know me I have a million and one facial expressions and oddly enough she does to. It's amazing everyone that sees us says she is my other half and my perfect match. I couldn't agree more!
On October 22, 2014 she turned a year old...of course she got a pup cake....and I see many more celebrations in our future....she may only be here for a short time in my life but she is my life and I'm hers we are a match made in heaven. I thank God every day for her wet nose, her slobbery kisses and stubborn attitude.
